With the win, West Wilkes upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Blackhawks host Alleghany (Sparta, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 0-9.

Next up, the Buckin' Elks play the Union Grove Christian Patriots (Lexington, NC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Elkin will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 50-33 league loss to Tabernacle Christian (Hickory, NC).
