In Thursday's league match, the host Freeman Falcons basketball team scored a decisive 48-16 triumph over the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds.

In their next game, the Falcons meet the Southern Raiders (Wymore, NE) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 2. Freeman will attempt to move on its 6-1 season record.

With the defeat, Johnson County Central moves to 5-4 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Conestoga (Murray, NE) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Thursday, December 28.
