Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) and the visiting Granite Hills Eagles (El Cajon, CA), saw Steele Canyon's basketball squad knock off Granite Hills by a count of 52-40.

With the victory, Steele Canyon upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Bishop's (La Jolla, CA) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 22. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 9-2. Bishop's won 69-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Palo Verde Valley (Blythe, CA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Valhalla Norsemen (El Cajon, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 27. Granite Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Norsemen come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 37-36 non-league win over Otay Ranch (Chula Vista, CA).
