In Thursday's non-league outing, the Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers (Falls Village, CT) basketball squad beat the visiting Nonnewaug Chiefs (Woodbury, CT), by a count of 41-24.

The Mountaineers (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Gilbert (Winsted, CT). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league outing with a 2-1 record. In their last outing, Gilbert defeated Wamogo (Litchfield, CT), 52-36, in a league outing.

The Chiefs now hold a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Litchfield for a Berkshire outing on Friday, December 22. Nonnewaug will clash with a Cowboys squad coming off a 27-25 league win over Terryville (Terryville, CT). The Cowboys record now stands at 1-2.
