The Queens Complex basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Newtown Pioneers to 29 in the league triumph on Thursday.

The now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to John Adams for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Queens Complex will meet a Spartans team coming off a 54-48 league loss to Bayside (Bayside, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 3-2.

The Pioneers (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Francis Lewis (Fresh Meadows, NY). The Patriots enter the PSAL AAAA Queens I contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Francis Lewis ran past Forest Hills (Forest Hills, NY), 47-20, in a non-league contest.
