Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies (Warren, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Red Lake County Central Mustangs (Oklee, MN), 77-58 in a league bout.

With the victory, Warren-Alvarado-Oslo upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Ponies travel to Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (Walker, MN) to play the Wolves in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 27. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley won 57-54 in their recent league bout against Sebeka (Sebeka, MN)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons (Fertile, MN) in a A Section 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Red Lake County Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 54-37 league loss to Fosston (Fosston, MN).
