Nebraska High School Basketball - Wallace holds off South Platte

December 21, 2023: Big Springs, NE 69122

Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Wallace Wildcats (Wallace, NE) and the host South Platte Blue Knights (Big Springs, NE), saw Wallace's basketball squad hold off South Platte by a tally of 40-37.

With the victory, Wallace improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Arapahoe (Arapahoe, NE) to confront the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. Arapahoe won 43-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Northern Valley (Almena, KS)

Next up, the Blue Knights confront the Kimball Longhorns (Kimball, NE) in a D1 District 12 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. South Platte will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 58-27 non-league loss to Hershey (Hershey, NE).
