The Stevens Raiders basketball team (Rapid City, SD), was nudged 49-48 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD)

The Spartans now possess a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hot Springs for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 30. Spearfish will battle a Bison team coming off a 40-27 league loss to Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD). The Bison record now stands at 1-5.

The Raiders (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD). The Cobblers come into the AA battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, Rapid City Central was nudged by Mitchell (Mitchell, SD), 73-68, in a league battle.
