In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Vertus Warriors basketball team scored a tight 61-57 triumph over the Bishop Kearney Kings.
In their next game, the Warriors meet the Pittsford Panthers (Pittsford, NY) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 28. Vertus will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record.
With the defeat, Bishop Kearney falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Kings host University Prep Charter (Bronx, NY) to confront the Gator in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Gator come into the challenge with a record of 4-0.
