Brunswick Railroaders (Brunswick, MD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Walkersville Lions (Walkersville, MD), 48-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Brunswick upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Railroaders travel to Smithsburg (Smithsburg, MD) to play the Leopards in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Leopards go into the bout with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Lions play the Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Walkersville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
