Luray Bulldogs (Luray, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Madison County Mountaineers (Madison, VA), 49-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Luray upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Mountain View (Quicksburg, VA) to play the Generals in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Generals go into the bout with a record of 0-9.

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Strasburg Rams (Strasburg, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Madison County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 42-33 non-league loss to Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA).
