The Athens Academy Spartans basketball squad (Athens, GA), was crushed 54-32 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Tallulah Falls Indians (Tallulah Falls, GA)

With the victory, Tallulah Falls advances its record to 7-7 on the year. The Indians host George Walton Academy (Monroe, GA) to meet the Bulldogs in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 4 battle on Friday, January 10. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a record of 2-7.

The Spartans now own a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westminster Christian Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, December 27. Athens Academy will meet a Lions squad coming off a 95-62 non-league loss to Lanier Christian Academy (Flowery Branch, GA). The Lions record now stands at 5-4.
