In Saturday's league contest, the host Rutherford Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 56-54 victory over the Lyndhurst Golden Bears.
With the victory, Rutherford advances its record to 3-0 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Harrison (Harrison, NJ) to meet the Blue Tide in a Northwest Jersey - National battle on Friday, January 3. The Blue Tide enter the battle with a record of 3-1. Harrison lost 67-55 in their recent league battle against North Arlington (North Arlington, NJ)
The Golden Bears now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tenafly for a non-league battle on Monday, December 23. Lyndhurst will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 68-48 non-league win over Dwight Morrow (Englewood, NJ). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.
