The Athens Academy Spartans basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Tallulah Falls Indians to 33 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Spartans now have a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to St. Joseph's Catholic for a non-league game on Friday, December 27. Athens Academy will confront a Knights team coming off a 57-49 non-league loss to Wren (Piedmont, SC). The Knights record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Tallulah Falls falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Indians host George Walton Academy (Monroe, GA) to confront the Bulldogs in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 4 game on Friday, January 10. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 8-1.
