In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Morton Panthers basketball team scored a good 43-32 win over the Forest Bearcats.
The Panthers (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Simpson Academy defeated Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS), 68-31, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Bearcats battle the Ridgeland Titans (Ridgeland, MS) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 27. Forest will attempt to better on its 7-5 season record. The Titans come into the contest with a 5-8 record after their 55-44 league loss to Callaway (Jackson, MS).
