The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Sidney Yellowjackets (Sidney, OH) and the visiting Piqua Indians (Piqua, OH), observed Sidney's basketball team overwhelm Piqua by a margin of 47-22.

The Yellowjackets (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Butler (Vandalia, OH). The Aviators come into the Miami Valley - Scarlet challenge with a 9-0 record. In their last challenge, Butler trounced Xenia (Xenia, OH), 74-26, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Miami East Vikings (Casstown, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 30. Piqua will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 57-55 non-league loss to Versailles (Versailles, OH).
