With the victory, Newport advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Buffaloes travel to Line Mountain (Herndon, PA) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Thursday, January 9. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 1-0.

The Mustangs now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Montgomery for a non-league match on Friday, December 27.
