In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Westmont Sentinels basketball team scored a close 52-49 win over the Walther Christian Academy Broncos.

The Sentinels (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Ellison (Chicago, IL). The Lions come into the battle with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, Ellison tipped Fasman Yeshiva (Skokie, IL), 42-25, in a non-league battle.

The Broncos now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northtown for a battle on Wednesday, January 8.
