Cairo-Durham Mustangs (Cairo, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Catskill Cats (Catskill, NY), 53-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Cairo-Durham upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Berne-Knox-Westerlo (Berne, NY) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Berne-Knox-Westerlo lost 82-56 in their recent league bout against Duanesburg (Delanson, NY)

Next up, the Cats clash with the Mohonasen Warriors (Schenectady, NY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Catskill will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 57-49 league loss to Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY).
