Geneseo Blue Devils (Geneseo, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Dansville Mustangs (Dansville, NY), 54-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Geneseo upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Warsaw (Warsaw, NY) to play the Tigers in a Section 5 Livingston County II bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 6-1.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Honeoye Bulldogs (Honeoye, NY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Dansville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 57-46 league win over Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NY).
