Upper Moreland Bears (Willow Grove, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting New Hope-Solebury Lions (New Hope, PA), 59-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Upper Moreland upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Bears travel to Jenkintown (Jenkintown, PA) to play the Drakes in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Drakes go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Jenkintown lost 52-38 in their recent non-league bout against Abington Friends (Jenkintown, PA)

Next up, the Lions play the Hatboro-Horsham Hatters (Horsham, PA) in a Suburban One - American bout, on Tuesday, January 3. New Hope-Solebury will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Hatters go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 58-51 non-league loss to Phillipsburg (Phillipsburg, NJ).
