Smethport Hubbers (Smethport, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Oswayo Valley Green Wave (Shinglehouse, PA), 58-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Smethport upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Hubbers travel to Sheffield (Sheffield, PA) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Sheffield lost 46-41 in their recent non-league bout against Allegheny-Clarion Valley (Foxburg, PA)

Next up, the Green Wave play the Coudersport Falcons (Coudersport, PA) in a North Tier bout, on Thursday, January 5. Oswayo Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 69-40 league loss to Port Allegany (Port Allegany, PA).
