Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA), 47-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rockbridge County upgrades its record to 1-7 on the season. The Wildcats travel to James River (Buchanan, VA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 8-1. James River won 53-30 in their recent non-league bout against Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA)

Next up, the Fighting Blues play the Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. Parry McCluer will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
