Kentucky High School Basketball - Floyd Central can't hold off Martin County

The Martin County Cardinals basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Floyd Central Jaguars to 56 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cardinals now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Atlantic for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 27. Martin County will battle a Sharks team coming off a 73-22 non-league loss to Flagler Palm Coast (Palm Coast, FL). The Sharks record now stands at 0-9.

The Jaguars (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Tates Creek (Lexington, KY). The Commodores enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Tates Creek was nudged by Elizabethtown (Elizabethtown, KY), 58-39, in a non-league contest.
