Central Blue Devils (Newark, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Livingston Lancers (Livingston, NJ), 56-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Central upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Blue Devils host Newark Academy (Livingston, NJ) to play the Minutemen in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Minutemen go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Newark Academy won 53-43 in their recent non-league bout against Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ)

Next up, the Lancers play the West Essex Knights (North Caldwell, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Livingston will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 38-26 non-league win over Nutley (Nutley, NJ).
