New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders (Scotch Plains, NJ), 52-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, New Providence upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Pioneers travel to St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ) to clash with the Lancers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 4-0. St. John-Vianney won 91-33 in their recent league bout against Long Branch (Long Branch, NJ)

Next up, the Raiders clash with the Montclair Mounties (Montclair, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Scotch Plains-Fanwood will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Mounties go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 58-10 league win over Shabazz (Newark, NJ).
