Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME), 56-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Thornton Academy upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Gorham (Gorham, ME) to clash with the Rams in a AA South bout on Thursday, December 29. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Gorham won 38-29 in their recent league bout against Scarborough (Scarborough, ME)

Next up, the Red Riots clash with the Portland Bulldogs (Portland, ME) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 26. South Portland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 47-43 league win over Deering (Portland, ME).
