Yucaipa Thunderbirds (Yucaipa, CA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting JW North Huskies (Riverside, CA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Thunderbirds confront the Redlands East Valley Wildcats (Redlands, CA) in a Citrus Belt challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Yucaipa will attempt to better on its 9-1 season record.
The Huskies now have a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hemet for a Ivy challenge on Tuesday, January 3. JW North will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over La Quinta (La Quinta, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-1.
