Pennington Tigers (Blountsville, AL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Cold Springs Eagles (Bremen, AL), 70-69 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pennington upgrades its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Cordova (Cordova, AL) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 5-9. Cordova lost 77-57 in their recent non-league bout against Hanceville (Hanceville, AL)

Next up, the Eagles play the Winston County Yellowjackets (Double Springs, AL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 28. Cold Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 44-38 non-league loss to Meek (Arley, AL).
