Epic South (Ozone Park, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Van Buren Vee Bees (Queens Village, NY), 68-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Epic South upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The host Jamaica (Jamaica, NY) to play the Beavers in a PSAL AAA Queens III bout on Thursday, January 4. The Beavers come into the bout with a record of 0-7.

Next up, the Vee Bees play the Academy Charter (Hempstead, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Van Buren will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
