Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA), 50-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lumpkin County upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Indians travel to Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA) to play the Tigers in a AAA Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 7-4.

Next up, the Rebels play the Southeast Whitfield County Raiders (Dalton, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 30. Fannin County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 84-43 non-league loss to Ridgeland (Rossville, GA).
