Marion Rams (Marion, AL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Hatch Bobcats (Uniontown, AL), 51-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Marion upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Rams host Selma (Selma, AL) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 9-1.

Next up, the Bobcats play the Johnson Eagles (Thomaston, AL) in a 1A Area 6 bout, on Friday, December 29. Hatch will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 64-27 non-league loss to Marengo (Dixons Mills, AL).
