The DeLaSalle Islanders basketball team scored 78 points and held the host Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights to 65 in the Islanders non-league triumph on Friday.
The Islanders now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Osseo for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. DeLaSalle will battle a Orioles team coming off a 81-11 non-league win over St. Paul Central (St. Paul, MN). The Orioles record now stands at 6-1.
The Red Knights (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Jordan (Jordan, MN). The Hubmen / Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, Jordan ran past Central (Norwood-Young America, MN), 66-53, in a non-league contest.
