The Choctaw County Chargers basketball team (Ackerman, MS), was overwhelmed 65-28 in Friday's league battle with the host East Webster Wolverines (Maben, MS)

The Wolverines now possess a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Starkville Academy for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 28. East Webster will confront a Volunteers team coming off a 45-42 non-league win over Lamar (Meridian, MS). The Volunteers record now stands at 12-5.

The Chargers (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS). The Whippets come into the non-league battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Kosciusko was overwhelmed by New Hope (Columbus, MS), 67-26, in a non-league battle.
