Loyal Greyhounds (Loyal, WI) supporters were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Gilman Pirates (Gilman, WI), 54-51 in a league challenge.
With the victory, Loyal improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Rosholt (Rosholt, WI) to confront the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 1-8. Rosholt lost 61-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Manawa (Manawa, WI)
Next up, the Pirates confront the Rib Lake Redmen (Rib Lake, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Sunday, December 31. Gilman will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record.
