The Mynderse Academy Blue Devils basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Newark Reds to 42 in the Blue Devils league triumph on Friday.
The Blue Devils now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lyons for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Mynderse Academy will meet a Lions team coming off a 56-50 non-league loss to Weedsport (Weedsport, NY). The Lions record now stands at 4-2.
The Reds (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Brockport (Brockport, NY). The Blue Devils enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Brockport nudged Irondequoit (Rochester, NY), 48-41, in a non-league contest.
