The Park Rapids Panthers basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines to 47 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Ridge for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 27. Park Rapids will battle a Panthers team coming off a 50-46 non-league win over Ely (Ely, MN). The Panthers record now stands at 8-1.

The Wolverines (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Barnesville (Barnesville, MN). The Trojans enter the AA Section 8 contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Barnesville nudged Frazee (Frazee, MN), 52-49, in a league contest.
