Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) followers left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their ice hockey team achieve victory over the host Moses Brown Quakers (Providence, RI), 3-1 in a league match.

The Sentinels (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Broncos enter the State Championship Division match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Burrillville tipped Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI), 2-1, in a league match.

Next up, the Quakers clash with the Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) in a State Championship Division match, on Wednesday, January 3. Moses Brown will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record.
