Arizona High School Basketball - Palo Verde thwarts Payson

The Palo Verde Titans (Tucson, AZ) basketball knocked off the host Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ), 73-61 in Friday's non-league test.

The Titans (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Sunnyside (Tucson, AZ). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, Sunnyside notched a victory over Sahuarita (Sahuarita, AZ), 51-46, in a non-league test.

The Longhorns now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host Show Low for a 3A East test on Tuesday, January 10.
