West Jefferson Buccaneers (Harvey, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA), 57-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, West Jefferson upgrades its record to 4-9 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Kennedy (New Orleans, LA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Monday, January 9. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 1-3.
Next up, the Hurricanes play the Wright (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 27. South Plaquemines will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The go into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 46-45 non-league win over St. Louis Catholic (Lake Charles, LA).
