California High School Basketball - Gardena thwarted by South

The Gardena Panthers basketball team (Gardena, CA), dropped 53-37 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host South Spartans (Torrance, CA)

The Spartans now possess a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host El Segundo for a Pioneer battle on Monday, January 8. South will confront a Eagles team coming off a 81-42 non-league win over Math & Science College Preparatory (Los Angeles, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 10-6.

The Panthers (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against University (Los Angeles, CA). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, University beat Maywood CES (Maywood, CA), 69-16, in a non-league battle.
