The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Southern Aroostook Warriors (Dyer Brook, ME) and the host Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME), observed Southern Aroostook's basketball team overwhelm Ashland by a score of 58-20.
The Warriors (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME). The Pioneers come into the D North challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Wisdom trounced Ashland (Ashland, ME), 60-24, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Van Buren Crusaders (Van Buren, ME) in a D North challenge, on Friday, January 3. Ashland will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record.
