The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Bourne Canalmen (Bourne, MA) and the host Nantucket Whalers (Nantucket, MA), observed Bourne's basketball team overcome Nantucket by a margin of 56-40.

The Canalmen (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Somerset Berkley Regional (Somerset, MA). The Raiders come into the South Coast challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Somerset Berkley Regional defeated Apponequet Regional (Lakeville, MA), 80-60, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Whalers battle the Falmouth Clippers (Falmouth, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Nantucket will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record.
