The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Terrell County Greenwave (Dawson, GA) and the host Miller County Pirates (Colquitt, GA), observed Terrell County's basketball team overcome Miller County by a margin of 75-65.

The Greenwave (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Pelham (Pelham, GA). The Hornets come into the A D2 Region 1 challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Pelham defeated Baker County (Newton, GA), 72-16, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA) in a A D2 Region 1 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Miller County will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 75-63 non-league loss to Fort Lauderdale (Fort Lauderdale, FL).
