The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the St. Bernard Saints (Uncasville, CT) and the visiting New London Whalers (New London, CT), observed St. Bernard's basketball team overcome New London by a margin of 56-41.

The Saints (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Northwest Catholic (West Hartford, CT). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Northwest Catholic dropped by Manchester (Manchester, CT), 71-45, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Whalers battle the Hillhouse Academics (New Haven, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 27. New London will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Academics come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 66-43 non-league loss to Notre Dame (West Haven, CT).
