The East Alton-Wood River Oilers basketball team scored 75 points and held the host Gillespie Miners to 52 in the Oilers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Oilers now sport a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bunker Hill for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 27. East Alton-Wood River will battle a Minutemen team coming off a 57-50 non-league loss to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL). The Minutemen record now stands at 2-7.

The Miners (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL). The Hiltoppers enter the non-league contest with a 8-5 record. In their last contest, Hillsboro triumphed over Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL), 57-50, in a non-league contest.
