Texas High School Basketball - Jones nips Calallen

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Jones Trojans basketball team scored a close 72-65 triumph over the Calallen Wildcats.

The Trojans (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Annapolis Christian Academy (Corpus Christi, TX). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Annapolis Christian Academy nipped Mathis (Mathis, TX), 61-57, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the George West Longhorns (George West, TX) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 26. Calallen will attempt to improve on its 14-8 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 72-59 league loss to Taft (Taft, TX).
