With the victory, Kaufer upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Seahawks host Mathis (Mathis, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 6-12. Mathis won 53-44 in their recent non-league bout against Robstown (Robstown, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Lasara Lions (Lasara, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 32 bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Benavides will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record.
