With the victory, Carbondale Area improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Mid Valley (Throop, PA) to confront the Spartans in a Lackawanna 3 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Spartans confront the Lakeland Chiefs (Jermyn, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. Mid Valley will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 57-29 non-league loss to Valley View (Archbald, PA).
