V.R. Eaton Eagles (Fort Worth, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Emerson Mavericks (McKinney, TX), 88-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, V.R. Eaton upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Eagles travel to Sachse (Sachse, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Sachse lost 70-44 in their recent non-league bout against Braswell (Little Elm, TX)

Next up, the Mavericks play the MacArthur Cardinals (Irving, TX) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 28. Emerson will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 66-48 non-league loss to Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, TX).
